Fight Illiteracy
The Art of Story-Telling is Changing
As the influence of digital entertainment continues to grow, more and more people have been introduced to story-telling through visuals. While visuals and audio certainly engage the senses, it has also limits imagination, as well as, decreases literacy. Studies show that 21% of adults in the US are illiterate in 2022 (up 3% from 2012). 54% of adults have a literacy below 6th grade level. Low levels of literacy costs the US up to 2.2 trillion per year.
The concept of a visual novel came from our passion to decrease the literacy gap by combining the best parts of media (art, graphics), with designs that immediately catch the reader’s attention and immersive them into the story organically so they don’t feel like they are reading a novel.
